AML (Anti-Money Laundering)

The fight against money laundering and terrorist financing is at the core of SLSSEC’s mandate. Recognizing the risks posed by illicit financial activities, the Commission enforces stringent Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies to safeguard the integrity of Sierra Leone’s financial markets. Regulated entities, including brokers, investment advisors, and issuers, are required to implement robust AML procedures, conduct thorough due diligence, and report suspicious transactions. SLSSEC also collaborates with local and international agencies to align its AML framework with global standards, ensuring a secure investment environment.
